The idea…
It all begins with an idea. Take a walk back into the past, depict it using tiles in a timeline.
Eva said, “Let’s get creative!” And wow, did we ever!
We set out to design a historical journey through Deep River’s past and on into the future that we could envision. Each participant chose an event/time and did the research. Some chose a serious or thoughtful approach, others applied a bit of cheekiness. Then came the art!
The result was a 14 tile, nearly 18 foot long installation, suspended from locally collected birch boughs and included a well thought out information brochure.
Our creation was featured in Deep River’s Town Hall for six months during 2024, and was a highlight installation at the Deep River Library’s October 2024 Historical Transitions through Art Exhibition.
