Our Volunteer Teams

  • Kiln Team

    The kiln team manages the kilns; loading and unloading, programming the controller, maintaining kiln shelves.

  • Glaze Team

    The glaze team mixes and maintains the Cone 6 glazes.

  • Creative Directions

    This team plans our workshops, clinics and fun social activities!

  • Health & Safety

    The safety team monitors safety at the guild, checks fire extinguishers, addresses safety issues, provides signage. etc.

  • Executive Board

    Positions on the board are: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Lesson Coordinators (3), Publicity/Social Media. These positions are elected at our AGM.

  • Strategic Planning

    The strategic planning team creates long term strategy for the guild.

  • Newsletter & Blog Posts

    The newsletter team composes and assembles the quarterly newsletter. Blog posts can be submitted as a one off or a series of articles, or as a yearly position.

  • Volunteer Teaching Pool

    Members who are interested in teaching introductory classes, childrens' classes, clinics or workshops.

  • Teachers in Training / Assistants

    Members who would like to help teach a kids or adult class, or who would like experience before teaching a class on their own.

  • Event & Outreach Helpers

    Volunteers who assist at workshops for local groups (scouts, seniors, etc), events (Summerfest clay craft, pottery sales etc), set up or teardown of exhibits, or host/help at a social event.
